Explore your four steps ↓

Thoughtful light. Your setting.

A welcoming entrance.
A more considered evening view.

The shape of a roofline, the rhythm of columns, the texture of brick: architectural lighting starts with what makes your home distinctive. We balance those features with the garden so the building feels part of the setting, not separate from it.

For a street-facing home in Vienna or a wooded property in Great Falls, we consider the approach, the views from inside, and how much darkness should remain. Your evening demo helps you judge the effect on your own architecture.

Start with the possibilities

A plan shaped around your space.

Entrances and arrival

Give the front door and approach a clear place in the composition, with an inviting sense of arrival.

Texture and proportion

Use selective accents to reveal masonry, columns and architectural depth rather than washing the entire facade in light.

The whole evening view

Balance the building with surrounding trees and planting, considering brightness and the views beyond your property.

We discuss the options with you, then agree the scope and pricing individually before work begins.

Before we get started

Good questions.
Clear answers.

What is architectural and facade lighting?

It is outdoor lighting arranged to reveal a building’s form, materials and entrance after dark. The aim is a balanced composition, not simply more brightness.

Can you light my facade without making it look too bright?

We use selective highlights and preserve shadows. The evening demo lets you discuss brightness and the features you want emphasized before installation.

Can facade lighting work with my garden lighting?

Yes. We consider the architecture and landscape together so the house, planting and approach feel connected. Existing lighting can be reviewed during the consultation.

Do you offer commercial architectural lighting?

Yes. We welcome commercial projects as well as residential work. Scope is agreed around the building, access, operating needs and setting.

Can you work from an outside design or use equipment I own?

Yes. We install outside designs and customer-supplied equipment. We review the plan, equipment condition and compatibility before agreeing what will be installed.

How is architectural lighting priced?

Pricing is agreed individually after reviewing your property, priorities and installation scope. We discuss your budget before work begins.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve McLean, Great Falls, Vienna and Reston in Virginia, and Potomac, Cabin John and Bethesda in Maryland. Other DMV inquiries are welcome; share your address so we can confirm availability.
